It was such a pleasure shooting Hayley and Mark’s wedding. Hayley is a friend from my junior high days, and I felt honored to be a part of it. Their intimate, fall colored wedding took place at the Vizcaya Pavilion in Midtown Sacramento. Hayley looked like she stepped out of a film noir and Mark was taken aback when she came down the aisle.  Their warmth and love for friends and family radiated throughout the day!

For Rebekah and Jacob’s engagement shoot, we met in Downtown Lodi, a place with charm and appeal that suited them. We also shot at the Oak Farm Vineyards, a gorgeous estate with majestic oak trees and greenery all around. We had a great time exploring the grounds of the Vineyard and enjoying a beautiful day!

We met Lisa and Eric on a beautiful fall day in Monterey for their engagement session. We had such a fun time walking around Cannery Row and the beach in the warm sun while shooting their photos. Lisa and Eric didn’t hesitate to climb  the rocky shore to capture the beauty of the Monterey coast, one of their favorite places.

For Holly and Steven’s wedding we traveled to the delta City of Brentwood to the gorgeous Club Los Meganos. Everything was perfect for their day… the modern, airy clubhouse in the middle of vine covered, rolling hills set the stage for their nature inspired wedding. Beautiful fall sunshine lit the day. And Holly and Steven both looked stunning.

Here is Allison and Alvaro’s beautiful Sacramento wedding. I loved shooting this wedding… the beautiful ceremony was traditional to Mexican culture, with fun touches added to the reception. Allison and Alvaro love The Nightmare Before Christmas (as do I!!) and they incorporated decor inspired by the movie into their reception. The cake, in particular, was really cool… make sure to look for it in the details collage!

This engagement session is quite special for my wife, Angela, and I… We’ve been friends with Hayley since the 6th grade, almost 20 years ago! When Hayley and Mark decided to have us photograph their wedding we were more than thrilled. It’s so exciting to photograph a friend’s special day!

We spent the evening shooting their engagement session in Downtown Sacramento and Land Park… Enjoy!

Here is Meghan and Keith’s wedding at the Divine Savior Catholic Church and the always stunning Granite Bay Golf Club. Meghan looked absolutely gorgeous and Keith wasn’t so bad himself. The reception had everything you could ask for in a great party… lot’s of Sierra Nevada beer (Meghan and Keith met at Chico State so Sierra Nevada beer is pretty much a requirement), Lots of great family and friends, Meghan and Keith’s sorority sisters and fraternity brothers, and lots of dancing. They ended the night with a huge sparkler send off.

This is the first wedding I’ve photographed that the bride and groom literally traveled half way around the world to be there! Melanee and Todd live in New Zealand for Todd’s job, Melanne is originally from the bay area and Todd from Chicago. To say there were a lot of out of towers at this wedding would be an understatement! Their Friday evening ceremony couldn’t have been any more beautiful… the dusk lighting was gorgeous! After the ceremony we got creative with the photos in pretty much complete darkness… it was a blast!

Here is Holly and Alex’s gorgeous backyard wedding up in Alta, CA. It was such an intimate wedding in a very cool location… Holly’s parents just bought the property a few years ago and was nothing like how it looked on their wedding day. Dozens of old cars, overgrown black berry vines, and run down buildings. They put a lot of sweat and passion getting the property ready for their special day and it paid off!

Holly and Alex both looked amazing and SOOOO excited to be married!
